120mm long NVMe SSDs will not fit within the enclosure. PCIe AHCI, and SATA SSDs with M.2 edge connectors are not compatible with this enclosure. M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs with M key slot (PCIe 4x lane SSD), or M+B key slots (PCIe 2x lane SSD). Linux Kernel 2.6.31 and newer support 4K per sector for drives larger than 2TB. Linux Kernel 3.15 and newer supports UAS (USB Attached SCSI) or BOT (Bulk Only Transport). macOS 10.4 and newer has no practical hard drive size limitations, however file system size limits may apply. macOS 10.7 Lion and older using BOT (Bulk Only Transport). macOS 10.8 Mountain Lion and newer using UAS (USB Attached SCSI) or BOT (Bulk Only Transport). Windows XP may be limited to only detecting only 2TB when using larger drives.
